First Aid Team.
Our community doesn’t have easy access to a health education, a clinic, or a hospital. However, many health conditions that would cause people to need to go to the hospital, can be prevented through education and early detection. So, in late 2019, a group of people from our community were trained in First Aid and educated about common diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, TB and diarrhea. Armed with this knowledge and training, they are now in a position to provide education and support to our community. With the certifications they earned, they are recognized by the government as well, which grants them a measure of authority within the community. We hope to be able to continue training and multiplying our team.
